Schezwan Paneer

As much as I like cooking, sometimes laziness gets to me and pushes me into I-don’t-feel-like-cooking-today zone. Today was one such day, of course one could order ‘take out’ but when you’re too lazy to even call up and order.. Yes sometimes I get THAT lazy! I wanted to eat something paneer and this idea struck me and made this delicious side dish for hot steamed rice in less than FIVE mins. Not kidding! It’s a cinch to make and so yum. Here’s how I made it, feel free to add more veggies like bell pepper/ carrots. My bell pepper wasn’t ready to be plucked so I just added onions and spring onions to this. schezwan_paneer You will need

Paneer- 200 grams, cubed

Chilli sauce- 1 tsp

Water- 1/2 -3/4 cup

Salt- 1/2 tsp

Green onions- just a handful, shopped. for garnish.

  • Add ginger-garlic paste to it and fry for a min.
  • Now add cubed paneer and toss until they are roughly fried on all sides.
  • Add in schezwan sauce, chili sauce and salt and water. Mix well.
  • Let it cook for just couple of minutes and turn off the flame.
  • Serve with hot steamed rice or it would pair well with even noodles/fried rice.

  1. Oh ho..too lazy to even call up and order.. yet prepared paneer eh.. you’ve given new definition for the word “Lazy” 😛 but, I doubt the pain of waiting for the delivery is the reason why you decided to cook, what say? 😉
