Vegan Maple-Walnut Scones

I have been baking cookies, cakes, bread since 3-4 years but for some reason I never got around to bake scones. Recently I had orange scones at Panera Bread and wanted to make them at home. So, I was scouting for an easy recipe and came across this amazing recipe and loved it since this doesn’t require any extra sugar.  This recipe is sugarfree, eggless and if you’re using non-dairy milk like me then it’s completely vegan! Hi5!! Alrighty, here’s how I make them. image1-42   You will need
  • All-purpose flour- 2 cups
  • Baking powder- 1 tbsp
  • Salt- a fat pinch
  • Maple syrup- 1/2 cup
  • Almond milk- 1/2 cup
  • Walnuts- 1/2 cup
  • Raisins- for garnishing(optional)
  • Pre-heat the oven to 375F.
  • In a bowl whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Add in maple syrup to this and mix well.
  • Add in milk and mix well and fold in roughly chopped walnuts.
  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  • Scoop out dough onto the baking sheet. I flattened them a bit by shaping them into a triangle.
  • Add some raisins on the top and press them gently.
  • Bake in the middle rack for 13-15 mins.
  • Cool completely and I just drizzled some maple syrup over it just because! Enjoy!
