Schedule a me-time

Past two days has been so rough (screw you hormones), but I’m done sulking not because I’m fine but I WANT to be fine. So I’m gonna schedule a ‘me-time’ with me (duh) today – I’m gonna play some good music, do my mani/pedi, read a book, watch this week’s carpool karaoke featuring Bruno Mars and drink lots of water! I’m sure I’m gonna have a great week ahead, a lil bit of ‘me-time’ is all I need perhaps. Have you ever noticed that if you are happy, everything around looks happy and triggers happiness in others around you? So I want you to schedule your ‘me-time’ too however busy you are. If you are a mom, to-be mom, workaholic, newly married or whoever you are, schedule a ‘me-time’ for you once a month atleast. My me-time might not fancy you, but you do you, whatever YOU like. What is your kinda ‘me-time btw? Just curious! 😀 Now don’t tell me cleaning your house, working out at gym, working extra hours, cooking or any such chores. Treat yourself like a princess, order food, put a face mask, read a book, buy that thing that you have been contemplating. Go do it. You will feel all pumped up and rejuvenated which is much needed to keep you away from burning out and break-downs. Happy week ahead lovelies! <3

I’m gonna sound so lame but I couldn’t help but point out that boring things like cleaning my house and doing the laundry are very exciting “me-time” worthy things for me 😀 It’s more for how rewarding it feels afterwards than for anything else. I also like to take time out for reading and taking care of my skin 🙂

    4. As lame as it might sound, nice long hot shower esp hair wash. Especially now as a new mom, it’s such a luxury.
    5. Hair cuts / makeovers
    6. Shopping
    7. When none of this works. I know what will- spa /massage 😀 call me crazy but as u already know, I hit the spa in jus 10 days post delivery 😀 and it has now become a great stress buster that I have already scheduled the next one 🙂
    8. Right when I started to enjoy (got fit post delivery) biking, the weather decided to play it rough. Screw you, Chicago!
    9. Catch up on your blog ( stop grinning) And couple of other blogs.
    10. I want to get back to blogging but reality check – it took me an hr to post this comment. Credits to ‘you know who’
    And the list goes on! I make sure I stick to as much as poss however busy life gets coz what is life when you don’t have time for yourself !

      If I ever wrote a list of detailed ‘me-time’ it would look almost exactly like this. It’s sometimes creepy how similar we both are! 😀 No wonder we are best friends and never get bored of each other’s company. lol.

  3. Oh it makes a lot of sense why I’m always happy after online shopping! And as weird as it may sound, every time I buy some new clothes and even if it’s just tights, I arrange my whole wardrobe once again. It makes me happy. Also cooking something different. I talk to myself as if I’m being aired on TLC! 🙂 Enjoy your time and glad to see you happy! YAY! 🙂

  4. My me-time used to be waking up late when my hubby is at home so that he can take care of our kid. Now that our kid has grown up and in the ‘why ? & why not ?’ phase, all that I need is some quiet time 🙁
