Purpose in life

What’s my purpose in life? I never thought about it until I lost my dad and felt like there’s no reason for me to live anymore. But something told me there’s a reason that I’m still alive, there’s a purpose, that lead me contemplating what my purpose is. Now I know what my purpose is, it is to make a difference in this world. May be I can’t be half as great as Mother Theresa or Dalai Lama or Abdul Kalam but I’ll contribute in my own way. My purpose is to build someone up, spread happiness, smile more and to be kind. I asked the same question to Hari and my bestfriend. My best friend’s purpose is similar to mine (duh!) and this is what Hari said.. Me- What’s your purpose in life?
H- What?!
Me- You don’t have to answer me now, take your time and let me know.
H- Okay. What’s yours?
Me- To make a difference…
H- Ah nice!
Me- Wait a minute. Have I made a difference in your life? Its been 5 years since we know each other.
H- Um. I have become more human.
Me- huh. What do you mean? Were you an animal before? LOL
H- *dead serious* No I was a robot, remember? You made me a human. *wink*
Me- *stops laughing and water bursts out from eyes and nose* Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
H- You’re making a big difference. Be yourself. For those who don’t know Hari, his friends used to call him robot because he was like one! Imagine a robot turning into a human and saying such emotional stuff! OMG I have really made a BIG difference. LOL. What’s your purpose in life if you don’t mind sharing. I would love to know. 🙂

  1. Awww that’s so sweet, Aishwarya! Shane’s pretty emotionless and I often tell him that I want to be more like him because there are just less than 5 things that might affect him. It’s quite rare to come across people like that because they manage to be happy in their own little bubbles. I don’t know if having very few attachments and not getting easily affected by silly things is what you guys mean by “robot” lol.
Also, that post image is soooooo beautiful! <3

    1. Hehe. Ditto! I secretly wish to be so kind, relaxed and carefree like him sometimes. We both have acquired good things from each other over time, like I’m less active on FB than before(lol) and to be carefree like him and he has learnt to express his feelings better and to be goofy like me. LOL.
Hari doesn’t talk much but he is a very good listener. So his friends named him as ‘robot’. 😀 But he was just fine with me, in fact he is the one who does all the buck-buck and apparently he is like that only with me. 😀

  2. That’s a beautiful way of thinking, Aishwarya! I still have no clue what my purpose in life is but I agree with Hari completely, you’re making a big difference in your own pace and I think you should stay true to yourself always! Vinod is exactly the same, his friends call him emotionless as his priorities are hardly a few in life! I don’t know whether it’s a mask they put on but that’s the way he is! I loved your post image btw, making me miss the fall season all over again!

    1. You don’t know your purpose and that’s completely okay. 🙂 Awww thank you, that means a lot to me. :*
I think 8/10 men are like that, my dad, my brother, my cousin, Hari and now I know few more. 🙂 Thanks again. 🙂

  3. I tried to imagine hari saying that..and no I just couldn’t thats the bestestttt compliment you can ever receive. Pat on ur shoulder.
