Sorry for being MIA, not that you guys missed me (or did you?)

I was homesick AF.. I just wanted to stay away from everything. No mood for anything kind of days.. But now I’m back and I feel much better.

Speaking of ‘no mood for anything’, I din’t even cook much last couple of days.. I had gone from ‘live-to-eat’ to ‘eat-to-live’.

So on one of those days, when I got bored of having just hot cocoa for breakfast, I was in mood to make this mug cake.

Flavored Sugar

orange_sugar

Hi guys, today I’m sharing the “recipe” for citrus flavored sugar. You can buy this kinda sugar from any store or you can make it yourself at home for a fraction of cost. I usually make this orange flavored sugar and add it to my green tea or sprinkle it over the cupcakes or donuts or cookies. You can even use it for rimming the cocktail glasses. It’s very simple and can be made in a jiffy. It can also be used as a scrub to exfoliate your skin.. So versatile, isn’t it?

We have been blessed with bounty of tomatoes this year from our backyard garden. My refrigerator is flooded with tomatoes and I’m loving it. I pureed most of it and dumped in the freezer and rest made its way to sauceland. Recently I made this yummy pizza sauce which was oh so good and the aroma  was intoxicating. I almost finished quarter of it in the name of taste-testing. homemade_pizzasauce

Here’s how I made it.
